Today’s market shift benefits buyers looking for better options.
If you’ve been asking yourself, “Is now a good time to buy a home?” you’re not alone. Many people are wondering the same thing. Today, I will share what’s happening in the market—and why it could be great news for you.
More homes mean more options for buyers. Last year, the housing market was tough. There weren’t enough homes for sale, and buyers struggled to find the right fit. But things have changed.
Inventory has increased by over 20% in the past year. This is the most homes we’ve seen on the market since 2018. For buyers, this means more options and less stress. Some price ranges are still tight, but overall, it’s a better time to shop for a home.

Better prices and more negotiating power. More homes on the market mean less competition. You’re less likely to face bidding wars, and sellers are more open to negotiation. Home prices have also softened. They’ve come down from last summer’s peak, which means better deals for you.
Sellers are even offering help, like covering closing costs or repairs. Some buyers are even getting rate buy-downs to lower their monthly payments.
What about repairs? Homes are sold “as is,” but here’s the good news: Many sellers are willing to work with buyers. During the inspection process, you can request repairs or ask for credits. Most of the time, we’ve been able to negotiate something that works for our buyers.
